Which park fees apply to homestay divers?
Since 1 January 2026 Raja Ampat has charged two separate items, both per guest whether they dive, snorkel or stay on the beach.
The Raja Ampat marine park fee for foreign tourists is IDR 1,000,000 per person per year, with children under 12 exempt, under Southwest Papua Governor Regulation No. 32 of 2024, as listed by the Raja Ampat MPA Management Authority (checked 2026-09-16). The Raja Ampat Regency entry ticket, under Regent Regulation 34/2025, is charged per visit for foreigners and covers one trip only.

May and September are the value months: 20-25 m visibility, 27-29 C, strong currents that pull in pelagics, beds easier to find. June to August in the north means 15-20 m visibility and choppier crossings; expect some sites skipped for swell.
