Raja Ampat Diving Tour Disclaimer: Dive Risk, 2026 Fees, Liability and Data

Here is the Raja Ampat Diving Tour disclaimer in short. Komodo Luxury arranges boats, stays and logistics, and licensed partner dive centres and dive masters lead every dive. Scuba diving carries real risk. Fees and rules change, and sightings are never guaranteed. This site has no link to the Raja Ampat Marine Park Authority or any government body.

Last updated: 16 September 2026. This page applies to rajaampatdivingtour.com, published by Juara Holding Group.

Please read this page before you ask for a quote. It explains what we do, what we don’t do, and where responsibility sits on a diving trip to Raja Ampat.

Who actually runs your Raja Ampat diving tour?

Several parties are involved in any Raja Ampat diving tour. Here is who does what.

Role Who What it means for you
Website publisher Juara Holding Group Publishes planning guides. Does not run dives or vessels.
Tour and boat operator Komodo Luxury Arranges vessels, dive-and-stay packages, transfers and permit processing. Its reservations team handles bookings directly.
Dive leadership Licensed partner dive centres and dive masters Check your certification, give briefings, lead dives and set depth and site limits. They decide whether you dive.
Liveaboard vessel operators Partner vessel owners Apply their own safety rules, manifests and onboard terms.
Fees and enforcement Raja Ampat Marine Park Authority and Raja Ampat Regency Set and collect fees, patrol sites and enforce rules. We are not affiliated with either.

Komodo Luxury is a boat and tour operator. It is not a dive training agency and not a dive centre. It does not issue certification cards or teach courses. If a course or refresher is offered on your trip, the partner dive centre runs it under its own agency’s standards.

What risks come with diving in Raja Ampat?

Raja Ampat has the highest reef-fish diversity ever recorded. It also has strong currents and is a long way from medical care. Every dive carries a risk of decompression illness, barotrauma, injury from marine life, separation in current and drowning.

Operators treat Cape Kri, Blue Magic and the Misool pinnacles as Advanced Open Water sites that call for drift experience. A growing number of liveaboards now ask for Advanced Open Water plus about 50 logged dives. Open Water divers are usually kept to 18-20 m, at calmer sites near Waisai and on resort reefs.

Before any dive, you are responsible for:

  • Valid certification that matches the dives you book, plus a logbook that shows your recent experience.
  • Medical fitness. Answer the diver medical questionnaire honestly and get a doctor’s sign-off if any condition is flagged. A dive centre can refuse any diver.
  • Dive insurance that covers hyperbaric treatment and emergency evacuation. Standard travel policies often exclude scuba or cap the depth they cover, so check your wording.
  • Following the briefing. On depth, current, abort signals and cancelled dives, the dive master’s decision is final.

Evacuation from Raja Ampat can mean a boat ride to Waisai or Sorong and then a flight, which may take many hours. Nothing on this site is medical advice.

Are the fees, prices and seasons on this site guaranteed?

No. Every figure is indicative, dated 2026 and subject to change, so confirm it at booking. The fee figures below come from published regulations and fee summaries available in 2026.

Charge (2026) International visitor Indonesian citizen Validity
Marine park conservation card (Tarif Layanan Pemeliharaan Jasa Lingkungan, Southwest Papua Governor Regulation No. 32 of 2024) IDR 1,000,000 per person per year, in force since 30 December 2024. IDR 500,000 per person per year, or IDR 250,000 for Papua-area ID holders from outside Southwest Papua and IDR 150,000 for Southwest Papua ID holders. 12 months. Children under 12 exempt.
Regency visitor entry ticket (Perbup 34/2025, effective 1 January 2026) Confirm at booking Confirm at booking One visit

These fees apply to every guest, whether or not they dive, even on a single day trip. Liveaboards usually charge them on top of the base price. Misool’s co-managed conservation area may add its own contribution and a daily limit on divers.

Komodo Luxury quotes Raja Ampat luxury dive liveaboards on request for the specific vessel, dates, duration, guest count and inclusions. Exchange rates, fuel costs and vessel availability all move prices. Your price is the one in your written quote and nothing else.

Our season guidance is general. October to April is the main season. From June to August, northern Raja Ampat gets rougher seas and 15-20 m visibility, and many liveaboards move elsewhere or run fewer trips. Weather can change any itinerary at short notice.

Can anyone guarantee mantas, visibility or a specific dive site?

No. Manta Sandy is a managed cleaning station and is most reliable from October to April, especially December to March. The mantas are still wild animals. Currents, weather, patrol instructions, closures and diver caps can change your dives on the day.

Unless your written booking terms say otherwise, a missed sighting, poor visibility or a replacement site does not on its own entitle you to a refund. Park rules require no touching and no chasing, and groups must stay back from cleaning stations. Guides and patrols can end a dive if these rules are broken.

How do bookings, payments and liability work?

  • No offer on this site. A booking exists only once Komodo Luxury’s reservations team confirms it in writing by email or WhatsApp.
  • Terms in writing. You receive the deposit amount, balance deadline and cancellation terms before you pay anything. Partner vessels and dive centres may ask you to sign their own waivers and liability releases.
  • Not included unless stated: international and domestic flights, visas, park and regency fees, dive insurance, crew gratuities.
  • Limits of liability. As far as Indonesian law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by weather, force majeure, government decisions, fee changes, flight disruption, a guest failing to disclose a medical condition or their real experience level, or the independent acts of partners outside our control.
  • Your statutory rights. Nothing on this page limits rights you have under Indonesia’s Consumer Protection Law (Law 8 of 1999) or any other law that cannot be excluded.
